The villagers learned to respect both Mei and the sky spirits, understanding that unseen forces shaped the land and influenced their lives in ways they could not always see.
Over time, the story of Mei and her cloud-husband became a lesson in compassion and humility. The villagers realized that acts of kindness were noticed, even by the forces of nature. The children were taught to greet the clouds with respect, to speak gently to the rivers and streams, and to care for the animals of the hills. Every year, on the anniversary of Mei and the cloud’s wedding, the villagers would release small floating lanterns into the sky to honor their union and the blessings it brought.
Though the cloud-man could not remain on Earth permanently, he always returned when Mei called to him with sincerity. The girl who once felt alone discovered that her kindness had the power to connect worlds and bring harmony between humans and nature. And as long as she treated the world with love and care, the gentle transformation of unseen forces would continue to touch the lives of all around her.
